Welcome to ACPE!
February 26, 2019
ACPE members
recently voted overwhelmingly
in favor of our consolidation. Now we enthusiastically invite you, as a former member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors (AAPC), to apply for ACPE membership. With our shared history and joint commitment to the wholeness and well-being of the communities served by our members, there is much work for us to do together. We hope you will consider joining us in this exciting new chapter of spiritual care, education, and counseling.
Please follow the link below to complete your ACPE Membership Form:
Member Application
.
Applications will be processed on an individual, ongoing basis, so please allow for a window of several weeks for ACPE staff to follow up with membership confirmation and your new "acpe.edu" email account information.
As you consider applying for ACPE Membership, know that the Interim Psychotherapy Commission is working to pave the way for this transition. Their first priority is the creation of ten Communities of Practice (CoPs) so that these are in place for you to join later this spring. CoPs will act as new launchpads and homes for the creative and generative work that has been taking place through the AAPC regions. They facilitate in-person and long-distance connections among members with shared interests, contexts, priorities, and questions. We also hope that you will participate in some of ACPE’s existing CoPs, as we are eager for members to engage in mutual learning and collective initiatives.
Finally, we want to reiterate that, in joining as a member, ACPE’s staff becomes your own. The staff are there to support you in the vital work you do through administrative services, technology assistance, event planning, communications, and CEUs. We all look forward to getting to know you and hope to see you at the Annual Conference in Scottsdale, AZ, in May. To register and learn more about the conference, follow the link to
events section of the website
.
Sincerely,
Rev.
