ACPE Continues to Offer Services & Support
By Trace Haythorn, Executive Director/CEO  | March 20, 2020

Dear ACPE Members,

I hope you are reading this from your home; if not, I hope that you are supported in taking appropriate precautions as we learn to navigate this sudden and painful pandemic reality. I'm writing to let you know that even as we adjust, your ACPE staff is working remotely, striving to advance the work of the association, maximizing the use of digital tools to keep on top of your emerging needs as well as the ongoing needs of the organization. We know it will take some time to cultivate the balance and rhythms of new work practices, but please know our team is doing all we can to support you in this extraordinary time.

If you need a staff member, our numbers are listed here. All of our phones have been forwarded to personal devices so that we can respond when you call. Of course, we are also available via email. And many of you are advancing your knowledge of Zoom while others are facing a steep learning curve. It is likely that all meetings will take place virtually for the foreseeable future. Our hope is that "this too shall pass," that our staff, members, colleagues and all whom we serve will be safe and wise in this difficult time.

We will continue to send our "This Week@ACPE" every Monday, and because we know your inboxes are likely as flooded as ours we will work to minimize other communications unless absolutely necessary. Please check in weekly as Accreditation, Certification, Psychotherapy and our other committees and commissions offer resources, respond to questions, and provide support to you and your peers in this time. We also created a web page, with a link on the homepage, to collate our response so you can find information quickly.

APC is handling refunds for the joint conference. We are exploring how we can make several offerings from the conference available digitally - more on that as we make our way.

We will hold you in the light and ask you do the same for our team. This is a road we will make by walking, and I trust it will be a better road if we commit to walking it together.
