ACPE Introduces New Usernames to Sign into Website

ACPE News | February 5, 2019

In preparation for ACPE’s new Office 365/SharePoint platform, ACPE updated member usernames to sign-in to the website to register student units, access the member directory, etc. Member’s updated usernames are their new ACPE email addresses. Members will use their new usernames (with their current passwords) to sign-in.

Members include:  Spiritual Care Professionals, Educator Candidates, Associate Educators, Certified Educators, and Retired Educators. Students will not be affected by the change and will continue to use their personal email to sign-in to enroll in their units.

Member’s passwords are not affected by this update. Members will continue to use the password they are currently using to sign-in to the ACPE website.

ACPE Email Address Formatting Rules

Member’s updated usernames are their new ACPE email addresses. Members have been assigned ACPE email addresses in the following format:
<first name>.<last name>@acpe.edu.

For example, John Roch’s email is John.Roch@acpe.edu.

Emails cannot contain spaces, therefore, members with two first names will have the space removed.

For example, Jo Clare Wilson’s email is JoClare.Wilson@acpe.edu.

Similarly, members with two last names are formatted with a hyphen.

For example, Sean Doll O’Mahoney’s email address is
Sean.Doll-OMahoney@acpe.edu.

Finally, emails cannot contain apostrophes.

For example, Sean Doll O’Mahoney’s email address is
Sean.Doll-OMahoney@acpe.edu.

ACPE email addresses were assigned using the first and last name each member has in the database. If a member is commonly known by a different name, they may contact Carl Jones-Reid, Technology Specialist, at Carl.Jones-Reid@acpe.edu to establish an alias account.

If a member experiences trouble with their sign-in, they should contact Carl Jones-Reid, Technology Specialist, at Carl.Jones-Reid@acpe.edu or John Roch, Director of Communications & Technology, at John.Roch@acpe.edu for assistance.

Access to SharePoint and ACPE Emails Coming Soon

Updating member usernames is one of the final steps required to introduce members to the new and exciting features of SharePoint. Members are not able to access their ACPE email at this time. Emails will continue to be sent to member’s current email on file. Stay tuned to learn how to access ACPE email and SharePoint in the coming weeks.

Instructions to access SharePoint, ACPE email, Educator and Center Portfolios, Yammer, and upload Peer Review documents will also be published in the coming weeks.
