ACPE Launching Exciting New Committees
By Stephen Robinson, Leadership Development Committee, Chair | October 2017
As we are getting ready for 2018, ACPE is launching some exciting new committees to do the work of our association and create some enriching opportunities for the membership to be involved. Two of our new committees are:
The Advocacy Committee has been charged and tasked with the responsibility of advocating for social issues that impact ACPE individuals or the association as a whole. This committee will monitor developments with Medicare and FLSA, and keep the membership informed by offering training or being a conduit for which members can express concerns. This committee will have the chance to help all members have a voice in our association. Would you like to help get this work started? If you are interested in serving on the Advocacy Committee, email Stephen Robinson.
The Research Committee has been charged and tasked with taking a fresh approach to how we conduct research in ACPE. There are many opportunities to collaborate with research focused on education as well as research focused on providing spiritual care. This committee will have the chance to connect much of the work that is already happening and establish some priorities that will enhance the work of educating students and providing spiritual care. Would you like to help get this work started? If you are interested in serving on the Research Committee, email Stephen Robinson.
Our new committees will be empowered to impact the work of ACPE in meaningful ways as we head into the future. We depend on volunteers to step up and lead. Are you willing to step up and lead?
