Geisinger Chaplain Residency Program
Geisinger Health System (GHS), Danville, PA – come join the most creative, innovative and academically rigorous Clinical Pastoral Educational programs on the East Coast. 

Geisinger Medical Center (GMC) has four Residency positions available beginning August 27, 2018 through August 23, 2019. Stipend is $36,000.00 plus health benefits, tuition is waived. A University degree is required. An M.A., Master of Divinity or Master of Theology is preferred. GHS is the largest rural health system in Pennsylvania with GMC, located in Danville, PA., the largest tertiary/quaternary care teaching hospital in the region. GMC is licensed for 475 beds, including 89 pediatric beds in the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital. 

GMC, is a Magnet Hospital, maintains the region’s only Level 1 Regional Resource Trauma Center with additional qualification in pediatrics. GMC offers an array of highly specialized medical and surgical services, including neurosciences, cardiovascular services, transplantation, women’s health, oncology and orthopedics. The Hospital for Advanced Medicine serves as an integrated center for the most critical patients. We offer CPE training opportunities in all major medical specialties. Our program offers 4 units of Level I and /or Level II CPE. Has 2018-2019 CPE Resident positions open in the following locations:

Tampa Region – with clinical placements at a variety of affiliated campuses in the West Central Florida/Tampa Bay area
Volusia County – with clinical placements in Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach and Orange City – in the East Central Florida area. 

Curriculum focuses on care for patients in an acute care setting, their families and their care providers, integrating research literacy into the practice of spiritual care, with concentration on learning skills and concepts that will equip and enhance your spiritual care provision, in any setting. 

CPE Residents at Florida Hospital enjoy opportunities to engage with the multi-disciplinary team and are encouraged and supported by staff chaplains on each campus who are integrated with hospital administration and the surrounding community.

CPE Residents will have opportunity to learn from others within the Florida Hospital system using teleconferencing and in-person collaboration across Central Florida. 
CPE Residents at Florida Hospital have opportunity to participate in employee benefits (health, dental and vision coverage) immediately, and also employee discounts at a number of area businesses. The stipend for CPE Residents at Florida Hospital is approximately $30,000 for a Sept-August residency year.

The Religious Life Department, Deaconess Hospital Inc., Evansville IN:  We are offering five Residency positions to qualified applicants. This is a four-unit residency (August 27, 2018 to August 24, 2019) which includes a $25,000 stipend, health insurance at group rates, fourteen paid days off, a fitness center and free housing for unaccompanied applicants. St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV is accepting applications for a year-long CPE Residency beginning August 27, 2018 and ending August 23, 2019. Tuition is $1,000/yr and can be divided up per unit throughout the year.

Residents will experience a variety of clinical responsibilities on a full continuum of medical services offered both within the hospital as well as in the local community through the County Health Department’s Harm Reduction program. 
A stipend of $28,600/year is provided along with medical insurance provided by SMMC at no expense to the student. One previous unit of CPE is preferred, along with a master’s degree in theology or an equivalent helping profession degree.
