Certified Educator Candidate (CEC) Opening

Gundersen Health System, a top-rated healthcare organization based in scenic La Crosse, WI is currently accepting applications for our Chaplain Educator in Training (CET) position. This position provides support and training as the CET moves through the ACPE Certification process as a Certified Educator Candidate. We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates:

  • Strong motivation and potential to complete the ACPE certification process.
  • High degree of competency in spiritual and pastoral care, equivalent to Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) level.
  • Ability to work as a member of the Spiritual Care Department and within the setting of the interdisciplinary medical team serving our patients, families, and staff.
  • Readiness to meet and articulate competencies required for admission to the ACPE certification process (visit ACPE.edu for more details).
  • Ability to follow the code of ethics as stated in ACPE, APC, NACC, and related Gundersen Health System policies on confidentiality and conduct.
  • Endorsement for ministry by a recognized religious body.

2019-2020 CPE Residency Opportunities @ Kettering Health Network in Dayton Area of Ohio

Kettering Health Network, formerly Kettering Medical Center Network KHN), is a network of seven Dayton and Cincinnati area hospitals based in Dayton, Ohio. KHN is a five time winner of the IBM Watson 15 Top Health Systems (2009-2017), a recognition of clinical excellence only five other health systems in the nation have accomplished. KHN Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Center is accepting applications for the 2019-2020 Residency Program, starting August 26, 2019 to end August 28, 2020. The twelve months program offers three units of CPE credit at each of the two Campuses (Grand View Medical Center and Kettering Medical Center).  CPE Residency program Curriculum at KHN is focused on patient care in an acute care setting, their families and staff. The program also integrates research literacy into the practice of spiritual care, in any setting. Base Salary: $35,000, plus weekly overtime for a 24-hour-duty shift, and full benefits. The VA New York Harbor Healthcare System Chaplain Service is happy to announce a posting for our one-year Chaplain Residency Program beginning September 2019. Applicants must have completed a minimum of one CPE unit from an ACPE accredited site. The application deadline is August 15, 2019 but applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Stipend is $34,000 + Federal Benefits Package including health insurance and a generous leave package.
