Interested in working at the Department of Veterans Affairs? Well, there's a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Residency opportunity. The residency is designed to prepare students for full-time chaplaincy.
This is a work-study program that carries a stipend and offers four units of CPE. Qualifications consist of one unit of CPE and MDiv degree completion.
The residency starts October 1 until September 2019. The schedule includes a five-day work week, eight hours per day, plus on-call duties for week days and weekends.
The first-year residency curriculum focuses on ministering to Veterans, family and staff. Specialization areas are negotiable, and are based on the resident’s needs, interests and unique gifts. Residents work closely with VA staff chaplains and assume greater departmental responsibilities.
