CPE Yearlong Residents and Summer Interns
St. Luke’s Health System
Boise, Idaho

St. Luke’s Health System is accepting applications for Yearlong Residency (June 1, 2020 – May 21, 2021) and Summer Internship (June 1 – August 14, 2020). All CPE students (including summer students) are hired as employees of St. Luke’s for the duration of their program – salary begins at $15.13/hour plus on-call pay and shift differentials for evenings, nights and weekends. Residents also enjoy an excellent benefits package. Application fee: $25; Tuition: $650 for single units and first residency unit, $350 for subsequent residency units.

Education: Bachelors’ degree or 4 years’ relevant experience in lieu of degree.

University of Louisville Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma and teaching hospital in Louisville, KY, accepts applications for the 2020 residency. Foci include trauma, palliative, interdisciplinary care, and research literacy. Salary is $37,000; Tuition is $400/unit. The residency covers three units from Jan 1 – Dec 31, 2020. Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services, Grand Rapids, MI, is a faith-based psychiatric hospital offering mental health services for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in inpatient, partial hospitalization, and residential settings. 3 Residency positions begin August 31, 2020. 3 CPE units occur over 12 months. Residents receive a stipend of $31,000 plus full-time benefits. Qualifications: MDiv degree or equivalent and satisfactory completion of 1 unit of CPE. 2020-2021 CPE Residency Opportunities @ Kettering Health Network in Dayton Area of Ohio

Kettering Health Network, formerly Kettering Medical Center Network KHN), is a network of seven Dayton and Cincinnati area hospitals based in Dayton, Ohio. KHN is a five time winner of the IBM Watson 15 Top Health Systems (2009-2017), a recognition of clinical excellence only five other health systems in the nation have accomplished. KHN Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Center is accepting applications for the 2020-2021 Residency Program, starting August 24, 2020 to end August 27, 2021. The twelve (12) months program offers three units of CPE credit at each of the two Campuses (Grand View Medical Center and Kettering Medical Center). CPE Residency program Curriculum at KHN is focused on patient care in an acute care setting, their families and staff. The program also integrates research literacy into the practice of spiritual care, in any setting. Base Salary: $35,000, and full benefits.
