Yuma Regional Medical Center, Yuma, AZ is accepting applications for Three Units of Level I. year-long, CPE Residency: August 20, 2018-August 18, 2019. Tuition is $1,500/yr.

Stipend: $22,500/year, plus allowances of$800/month housing, and $300/month medical insurance; low cost of living. One previous unit of CPE required. Clinical responsibilities include 2 nights of on-call per week and/or weekend coverage. Application deadline: February 15, 2018.

2nd year Residency in Pediatric Palliative Care. IU Health is home to the State’s largest children’s specialty referral hospital, and one of the most comprehensive pediatrics programs in the nation. As a special approach to medicine, palliative care focuses on the family and the child’s goals as he or she faces a long-term, life-limiting or life-threatening condition. Our palliative care team helps families by providing support on all fronts. The Resident will work as an integral member of the Palliative Care Team and will develop skills in supportive, holistic, and evidence-based approaches to address the mind, body and spirit. 

Riley at IU Health is the only source for pediatric outpatient integrative medicine and palliative care in Indiana. The Palliative Care Team includes board certified doctors and nurses, social workers, and integrative medicine therapists. The fellowship will introduce the Chaplain to a number of different care modalities and services, including Acupuncture, Aromatherapy, Coordination of Care, Meditation, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Pain & Symptom Management, Reflexology, Reiki, Spiritual & Psychosocial Support, Therapeutic Massage, Therapeutic Yoga, and Treatment & Transition Planning. 

2nd year Residency in Trauma  IU Health Methodist has a long and distinguished history as Indiana’s preeminent  Level 1 Trauma Center. The requirements for accreditation as a Level 1 Trauma Center require the immediate availability of resources to deal with the variety of possible traumatic injuries. Methodist Hospital approved the development of a trauma program in 1978 (35 years of trauma experience), has enjoyed the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma verification since September 1992, has an annual trauma admission of 3,600 (busiest trauma center in Indiana, 9th busiest in country for volume), has the highest acuity and most complex trauma cases, and is home to the largest Neurocritical care unit in the country with total of 126 critical care beds. Curriculum focus will include developing a schedule and plan for providing spiritual care to trauma patients at Methodist, organize and provide effective spiritual care to patients, families, staff within the trauma service, explore  and implement effective communication within spiritual care team for  trauma patients throughout the hospital, explore family support groups and networking for trauma patients and families, integration into Trauma Service, and identify supports needs within trauma service and personnel and offer such support.

The ideal candidate will exhibit the highest level of pastoral professionalism in the areas of listening, ministry, grief work and ethical decision making.

The Center for Spirituality and Health at Mount Sinai in New York City welcomes applications for the 2018-2019 CPE residency.  Our outstanding residency offers 3 units of CPE and includes a stipend of $35,000 plus benefits and 29 paid days off.
