Continuing Education for ACPE Certified Educators who are currently or may in the coming years serving as National Faculty for CEC Certification
The Symposium begins with dinner at 5:30 pm on Sunday, January 12, 2020 and concludes on Tuesday, January 14, after lunch

Sessions include:

How do Standards, Accreditation and Certification relate to each other for the Certified Educator Candidate process?
The broad view of ACPE’s guiding documents and how they are working together for CEC education

Developing CEC Programs and Curriculums from a Center’s Perspective – How Does a Center Address Competencies and Crosswalks for Accreditation
How does a center begin to develop a curriculum for CECs

Getting Creative: What is working? Are there Best Practices Yet?
What are the creative ways for supporting CECs and their development of competencies as an Educator

Panel Discussion Resource Persons: Wayne Maberry (Accreditation), Connie Bonner (Accreditation), MaryBeth Hayes (Curriculum/Standards), 
Cecelia Walker (Certification)

**There will also be time on Monday afternoon for scheduled peer reviews, from 2p-5p**

Important Information
  • Registration fee covers lodging for two nights (double occupancy) and 6 meals (Sunday dinner, Monday’s meals, and Tuesday’s breakfast and lunch).
  • If you want a room by yourself, you will need to pay for half of the lodging expense.
  • Please note that travel expenses won’t be reimbursed for this event. You are encouraged to ask your centers to sponsor your traveling costs.
