Meeting Certification Committees

New for Certification in 2018, the usual functions of the Certification Commission are moving to strategically located hubs throughout the country.  Meetings at these hubs will take the place of both regional and national appearances, enabling persons seeking any level of certification to appear at any of the hubs, space permitting.

Additionally, beginning in 2018, the assessment of Theory Papers/Theory Integration Presentations will take place at each hub. There will be a limited number of theory papers/presentations that can be assessed at each hub, so in order to have your theory papers/presentation assessed, you must submit it to Sheilah Hawk before the deadline date listed for each hub below.  Submissions will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. If a hub is already at capacity or if your submission is not on time, you will automatically be rolled over to the next hub.

How to Reserve Your Spot

  • All registrations for committee appearances (for ACPE Associate Certified Educator and ACPE Certified Educator) will take place through the ACPE website.
  • Aspirants are not limited by geography when choosing a hub—you may choose to reserve a space at any hub at any time of the year.  As there are a limited number of available slots at each hub, you will be required to reserve your space with a $250, non-refundable deposit.
  • Please note the following policies:
  • Your choice of hub may be changed (space permitting), without penalty, up to 60 days prior to the first day of the hub meeting.
  • If you wish to cancel your appearance within 60 days of the first day of the hub meeting, your deposit will be forfeited and will not be transferred to another date unless there is another aspirant on a waiting list who agrees to take your original spot.
  • Except as noted above, the deposit is applied to the overall fee for your appearance.
  • In the event that a hub is full and you would like to be added to the waiting list, please be in touch with Sheilah Hawk.
  • Please do not book your travel arrangements until you have received confirmation of your date, as you may be scheduled for your appearance on any of the days allotted for the hub.  Special considerations/requests will be met if possible.

Where do I Stay?

  • Once you have reserved your spot at a hub, you are responsible for arranging your own accommodations.
  • There are special rates at the hotel where the meetings are taking place. Either use the link provided in the registration or call the hotel directly to secure your rate.  You may also choose to make arrangements to stay at a nearby hotel or in the area with friends or family.
Please contact Certification if you have any questions.
