Process Overview

The Annual Report for the Year Ending December 31, 2018 may be accessed by logging in to BoardEffect via the ACPE website. The form will be available by December 10, 2018 and must be completed no later than January 15, 2019, by midnight in your local time zone. 
  1. To log in to BoardEffect, go to www.acpe.edu, then go to MY ACPE and from the drop down menu, click on ACCESS BOARDEFFECT.
  2. Once you are logged in to BoardEffect, locate the name of your workroom in the left hand column and click on it to go to your workroom.

3. Once in the workroom, you will see a complete set of directions (similar to what appears below).When you scroll down past the directions, you will see the Annual Report Form.

4. To begin filling out the form, click on the title “Annual Report for the Year Ending December 31, 2018.” Please remember that if you do not complete the form in a single sitting, you must click SAVE at the bottom of the form or you will lose your work. It may be necessary to add your initials as a signature in order for the SAVE button to appear.

Important to Know

Each accredited center will complete ONE form.

Each accredited system centers will complete ONE form that incorporates all of the component sites in the narrative paragraphs and will need to download the Component Site Completion Rates supplemental form that is located at the top of the Annual Report Form after you open it (see orange arrow below). This form should be completed and uploaded to the Annual Report 2018 Supporting Documentation Folder in the workroom library.

All satellite programs will complete the Annual Report Form for Satellites. This document may be found at the top of the Annual Report Form after you open it (see orange arrow below). Satellites should complete the form and submit it to their host centers for uploading into BoardEffect.

All programs that utilized video conferencing as a modality of instruction must also complete the Video Conferencing Utilization form that is located at the top of the Annual Report Form after you open it (see orange arrow below). This form should be completed and uploaded to the Annual Report 2018 Supporting Documentation Folder in the workroom library.

Section 1: Directory Information

Section 2: Accreditation Activities

Please review and complete each item as appropriate.  If your host center participated in an accreditation review in 2018, please click “Not Applicable” for questions 2-4 and type “Not Applicable” for questions 5-6.

Section 3: Center Accreditation Needs/Concerns

This section gives the center an opportunity for consultation if there are any questions or concerns.

Section 4: Completion Rates

ACPE Standards require that over a 10-year period, 75% of students who complete orientation go on to receive credit for that unit.  Please indicate if your center meets this threshold.  You may use the following two sections of the form to determine your calculations.

For the sections on enrollment numbers, please include units that CONCLUDED between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018.  If you began a unit later in the year that will not end until 2019, DO NOT include those students in your 2018 numbers.

Total number of units offered: This includes the total number of units that concluded in 2018, i.e. a spring, summer, and fall unit would be three units.  This figure does not consider student enrollment.

Total number of distinct students in your program (count each student only once for the year, not per unit).  For residency students, please count them only once during the current year.

Total number of Students who ENROLLED:  This number indicates those students who completed orientation; a student who withdraws or is dismissed after orientation will receive “0” credit. In the case of a residency where there is not an orientation for each unit, count students for each subsequent unit in which they begin.

Total number of students who RECEIVED CREDIT: This number indicates the number of students who completed the unit and receive either .5 or 1 credit for the unit.

Total number of students who DID NOT RECEIVE CREDIT: This number indicates the number of students who withdrew or were dismissed after orientation and received “0” credit.

Percentage of students who ENROLLED AND RECEIVED CREDIT: This number reflects the completion rate of officially enrolled students.  To determine this number, divide the number of students who received credit by the number of students who enrolled, e.g. if 10 students were enrolled, but only five receive credit, the overall completion rate is 50%. This represents the information for the YEAR 2018 only, which will then inform the 10-year threshold requirement.

Section 5: Agreements and Contracts

Please remember to attach a copy of ALL agreements and contracts if you utilized them. Include Clinical Agreements, Educational Placement Agreements, and Satellite Contracts.

Section 6: Video Conferencing

If you used video conferencing, i.e. your unit regularly utilized this modality, please remember to complete the attached chart.

Section 7: Acknowledgements and Signatures

Physical signatures are not required for this document.  It is permissible to sign the document electronically.

Uploading Documents into BoardEffect

To upload the supplemental forms and all required agreements,
  1. Click on Library in the top menu bar.

2. Click on Other Files.

3. Click on Annual Report 2018 Supporting Documentation Folder.

4. Then, drag and drop your materials into the rectangular box or click upload to select files from your computer.
