CLINICAL PASTORAL EDUCATION SUPERVISOR
The Caritas Christi Health Care System CPE Program is seeking a certified CPE supervisor for one of its component sites, St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, a major teaching and research center in the Brighton area of Boston, Massachusetts. Through extended units and a full-time summer unit, CPE at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center is a vital component of the Department of Spiritual Care Services. This CPE supervisor will possess the skills to implement the clinical method of learning within a diverse faith and cultural context and to facilitate processes of pastoral formation, competence, and reflection. This CPE supervisor will work collaboratively with other supervisors in the Caritas system to provide professional theological education for chaplain interns. Some travel within the Caritas system is to be expected. The Pastoral Care Department of MaineGeneral Medical Center in central Maine is currently seeking a full-time Staff Chaplain to serve our 150-bed campus in Waterville. Meriter Health Services, Madison, WI – CPE Supervisor/Senior Staff Chaplain
We are looking for an ACPE Supervisor (Full or Associate) to provide CPE Supervision Level I/II for our Residency Program, 6 Month Extended Intern Units, and Summer Intensive Intern Program. The CPE Supervisor/Senior Staff Chaplain assists in the management and supervision of the Meriter Hospital Clinical Pastoral Education Program and provides spiritual care and pastoral support to patients, families, and staff. S/he provides assistance to the Director in the leadership of the department, assists in the selection and supervision of residents and interns of the Clinical Pastoral Education program, functions as the Senior Staff Chaplain, and represents the Department on various hospital committees. St. Luke's Regional Medical Center Sioux City, Iowa - CPE Supervisor
St. Luke's Regional Medical Center Sioux City, Iowa is offering a full time CPE Supervisor position. The position will deliver Level I and II CPE training at St. Luke's Regional Medical, an acute care based program and in conjunction with the Ecumenical Institute of Cherokee, Iowa, a community-based CPE program. St. Luke's and the Ecumenical Institute are two long-established ACPE centers serving NW Iowa and adjacent areas in Nebraska and South Dakota. The CPE Supervisor is responsible for primary CPE supervision, curriculum development and overall program oversight. The goal is to have three extended units per year (1 community based and 2 acute care based) and one summer unit per year with clinical rotation between two hospitals for the acute care units.
Qualifications: Ordination or advanced theological training required. Master degree in theology or related field preferred. Full or Associate Supervisor credential from the ACPE preferred. Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA is seeking a faculty person to serve as ACPE Supervisor . This person will direct the educational programs of CPE in Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems. In addition, this position will participate in the delivery of pastoral care services to the VCU Health System's Medical College of Virginia Hospitals and Physicians, a 741-bed teaching hospital and trauma center. The Program in Patient Counseling is an academic department within the University's School of Allied Health Professions . It offers both a Master of Science degree and a Graduate Certificate. The program is accredited by the ACPE, Inc. to offer programs of CPE and Supervisory CPE. Members of the department also staff the Health System's Department of Pastoral Care. The successful candidate will join a staff of two other full-time and one part-time ACPE supervisors, five clinical faculty, three full time and three half time staff chaplains, seven residents, and two support staff as well as additional interns and students. Qualifications include: Master's degree from an accredited seminary or graduate school of theology; certification as an ACPE Supervisor; experience on regional or national ACPE Accreditation committee, eligibility for certification by the APC, AAPC or other cognate group: five or more years of pastoral experience; experience in a multi-staff, culturally diverse teaching hospital setting preferred.
