ACPE Toolkit for Substance AbuseDear Colleagues: It is with great excitement that I greet you and offer my support for this toolkit. This toolkit is the result of over a year of work by the ACPE Substance Abuse Core Competencies Task Force under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Fred Smoot, an ACPE Supervisor. The toolkit is intended to be a resource to ACPE programs and supervisors who are incorporating various educational components related to substance abuse into their curriculum. In addition, the ACPE is a proud partner with The Clergy Training Project of the National Association for Children of Alcoholics (NACoA). The NACoA is working with a number of professions including the faith community to educate people who daily touch children's lives about the impact parental substance use disorders has on families and children, as well as the lives of addicted individuals. Thank you for your interest and investment in this important work. More critically, thank you for the leadership and educational opportunities you are providing to seminarians, clergy, and other caregivers on this important topic. Yours truly, Rev. Dr. Teresa Snorton ACPE Executive Director Click here to view or download this resource: ACPE Substance Abuse Toolkit This is a 166 page resource, so it may take a few moments to download depending on your internet connection.
