There two options: Holiday Inn offers a free, but limited-service shuttle or REM has arranged for a paid shuttle service, reservations required, as noted below (ACPE will reimburse up to the prices noted below with a paid receipt).
OPTION #1: Holiday Inn
The regular service van will hold 8 – 10 people plus luggage per trip. The shuttle will run on the hour from the Holiday Inn from 7:00 am-9:00 pm every day except for the 3 rd and 5 th (see note below). This means that it will be arriving at the airport close to the half hour. Because of airport security, we cannot linger in the hotel shuttle pick-up line so please make sure your participants know to look for a white van with the Holiday Inn at the University of Memphis printed on the side. Anyone arriving outside of these times or who doesn't want to wait for the next pick up will need to make their own alternative transportation arrangements.
March 30 shuttle departing from the Holiday Inn 7:00 am-9:00 pm, arriving at airport on the half hour
March 31 7:00 am-9:00 pm
April 1 7:00 am-9:00 pm
April 2 7:00 am-9:00 pm
April 3 7:00 am-9:00 pm (we will rent another van to run on the half hour to accommodate the 37 arrivals and 41 departures)
April 4 7:00 am-9:00 pm
April 5 7:00 am-9:00 pm (we will probably rent another van to run on the half hour in the afternoon to accommodate the 71 departures, assuming that most will be leaving in the afternoon)
April 6 as needed (guests departing on Sunday will need to schedule their departure times with the Holiday Inn front desk)
Doubletree
Upon arrival, go to baggage claim and locate the hotel courtesy phone. Contact the Doubletree Memphis (901-767-6666) and a van will pick you up within 30 minutes of the call (remember that during peak traffic times, the shuttle could be delayed). The van only holds up to 10 people plus luggage per trip. The van operates between 6am and 10pm.
OPTION #2: Paid Shuttle
Personal Transportation is available for ACPE Leadership and REM Invitational Attendees during your stay in Memphis,TN. The cost is $15 one way or $25 roundtrip.
