ACPE Certification Commission
Certification by ACPE is an earned privilege and responsibility. It is achieved by meeting the requirements for certification in the ACPE standards. ACPE certified supervisors are clinical pastoral educators who are academically prepared and who are authorized by a recognized faith group and ACPE to combine perspectives from theology and the behavioral sciences in conducting accredited programs of clinically supervised ministry education.
ACPE Standards & Manuals are on a five-year cycle. The next edition will be published in 2015. Please check this webpage for interim changes. Students in the certification process are responsible for updated procedures and policies. Please check the Procedures & Deadlines regularly for updated information. For complete information on all Certification matters, please refer to the ACPE Certification Manual and the Certification Policies and Procedures Manual.
ACPE Supervisory Core Curriculum
A Task Force is developing a new resource, the ACPE Supervisory Core Curriculum. This curriculum is an attempt to capture best practices in supervisory education and identify resources for student development. It is intended to serve only as a resource to programs and supervisors offering supervisory education. If you have suggestions please send them to Robin Booth.
