New Study Documents Released for Your Review

Your colleagues in Standards, Accreditation, Certification, and Professional Ethics have been hard at work preparing study documents of proposed changes to the Standards and to each of the Manuals.  This work has been led by the Manual Writing Committee, then reviewed by Standards.

Now, it is your turn.  Please review the following files:

1.  Study Document from Standards & Manual Writing Committee (This document describes all proposed changes to Standards and provides some description of corresponding changes to the manuals.)

2.  Definition of Terms -- this document, it is proposed, will take the place of the various glossaries.

3.  Certification Manual -- the whole manual is placed on line, with the proposed changes highlighted in blue.

4.  Accreditation Materials for changes to Accreditation Manual     a.  New Appendix 5, Parts I & II

b.  Addition of Supervisory CPE     c.  Addition of Satellite Processes     d.  Schematic of Accredited Center

5.  Pilot project for Professional Ethics-- this has been on the website for some time.

This is-- truth be told-- a fair bit of material.  I encourage you to be creative and thoughtful about how you might consider reviewing it -- for instance, if you have several colleagues in your center, perhaps you could divide certain sections; or perhaps you'll give particular energy to the section of materials that is of most interest to you.  In any event, I encourage you to get involved and send feedback -- WE WELCOME IT.

When you send feedback, please provide the following:

In Richmond, the Standards Committee will carefully review all of your feedback, incorporate this feedback into proposed changes, present this work to the board, and prepare a final version for board approval in Orlando. To meet this timeline, we would ask that you return your comments NO LATER THAN October 10, at the email account listed below: webmaster@acpe.edu
